Our own Mike Olsen will speak on "Fleeting Fame: People and Personalities of
the Pikes Peak Region."  Mike is a historian who will give the Club an
enhanced appreciation of the history of our area.

We have a very special guest speaker who will be discussing "The Richest
Country in the World!"

The first of our four political candidate presentations, Dan Maes,
Republican candidate for Governor, will present his vision for the future.

The second in our series of political candidate presentations, Weld County
District Attorney Ken Buck, will discuss his view of the important issues
facing the country.

We will meet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Corner of South Circle Drive & I-25)

Our District Governor, Steve Berg, will join us and present his report on
Rotary from the District Governor's perspective

This years PPARE/Champions Poker Tourney will be held the evening of Saturday, October 9^th at Maquireville, same place as last year.   There is an effort afoot to dethrone our club… so we’ll need a good showing to keep the trophy!  Stay tuned for more information.

We continue with our political candidate presentations.  Our current Senator
Michael Bennet, who is running for re-election, has been invited to speak to
the Club and give his vision for Colorado and our Country.

For our last political candidate presentation, Denver Mayor John
Hickenlooper, candidate for Governor of Colorado has been invited to address
the Club and present his views regarding the challenges our State faces in
the future.

We will not meet during our normal noon hour, but look for information about
a fun filled event to be held in the evening!  More to follow!
